PREMIUM STALLION WITH OUTSTANDING PEDIGREE BACKGROUND!
Monterey was one of the most eye-catching stallions of the Oldenburg licensing in Vechta in 2018 – also in terms pedigree and with the cheers of the spectators clearly invoking the premium ring! He shows much charm and pedigree background, solid in his blood foundation, with a grandiose imprint and outstanding highlights in the walk and in the trot work. A rider’s dream under the saddle.
The sire Morricone was Oldenburg Champion Stallion in 2014 and secured victory in the competition for the Oldenburg Main Premium in 2016. He won his HLP and qualified with victories in dressage horse tests for the Bundeschampionat.. Six sons were licensed from his first licensing year, including a premium stallion in Hanover. He is showing promise in the Dutch breeding as well, with some very good sons being presented at the intial stallion selection for KWPN in 2018.
The dam Special Diva was 2014 riding horses Bundeschampioness and won in the series in dressage horse tests of the classes A and L. The dam’s sire Sir Donnerhall I has acquired the status of a stamping stallion early on. Even 2nd Reserve Champion of his licensing, Landeschampion, HLP record winner, Vice-Dressage Champion and Bundeschampion and main premium winner, he can refer to soon 100 licensed sons.
From the grandmother Minelli came the licensed Brilliant (by Bretton Woods) and the up to international Inter I-successful Fuerst Diamond (by Fürst Romancier). The third-generation Diamond Hit was vice-dressage champion and champion champion in 2002, having also won silver at the national and state championships for the four-year-old stallions the year before. In 2005 he received the title VTV dressage stallion of the year. Emma Hindle / GBR later added successes on the international Grand Prix level.
This is a handsome young stallion for sure, and one to watch.
