Canturado: Holsteiner, 2003, 172 cm
Approved for: AES (elite)
Canturado is a son of Canturo who went to the Olympics in Athens at the tender age of 8. Canturo stood out as a major sire for showjumping during the last decade in producing quality jumpers like Canturano, Canstakko or Upsilon (French eventing champion 4 and 5 yo). Canturado’s dam Kamille is a full sister of the five Acorado brothers. Acord II, one of Holsteins most successful stallions, is listed as damsire in Canturado’s pedigree.
Canturado is a charismatic and expressive stallion with elegant and athletic looks. His first foals were born in 2016. We expect him to produce strong offspring which great movement. He will be suitable as an improver for eventing and showjumping and he also passes over his short back, frame, long elegant neck and length of legs.
Canturado began international classes in 2011 ridden by Mike Patrick Leichle. They ranked 3rd in 3*-classes in Warsaw and Vestfold, then finished 7th in CSI5* Leipzig and had a clear round in Donetsk 5*. In 2013, the stallion changed stables and won CSI3* Leszno with Christian Hess. Together they achieved rank 2 in Poznan (CSI3*), 6th in Neumünster (CSI3*) and 15th at CSI5* Leipzig with a clear round. Canturado had a successful 2016 season with several winnings in 1m40 Grand Prix in Spain and Portugal.
Canturado enjoys being the center of attention, and finding the muddiest patch in the field.
