SUNGOLD

Brown stallion, 17.1/2 hands, born 2003

Sungold is a noble stallion of an elegant type. He is clearly refined and the quality of his gaits is simply outstanding, full of suppleness, swing and elasticity. This brown Oldenburg stallion did his stallion performance test in 2008 in Schlieckau, where both guest riders gave him the maximum score of 10 for rideability. Sungold then proceeded to win and place in tests for young riding and dressage horses.

The striking type, generous lines and outstanding movements of his first offspring are particularly pleasing and many of them received a premium and were admitted to the Elite Auctions. Sungold was also the sire of the Champion Foal at the "Land Tage Nord" Championships.

His sire, Sandro Hit, is presently the most prominent spokesman of the Sacramento Song xx bloodline that established itself in Holstein and also spread widely in Oldenburg and Hanoverian Warmblood breeding through Sandro. Sandro Hit was the 1999 Bundeschampion of six-year old dressage horses and World Champion of young horses in Arnheim. Now that his first offspring win ribbons in advanced (S) level dressage up to Grand Prix, there is no doubt about the great performance potential of this line.

His dam, St. Pr. St. Eskoria, is the dam of five licensed son: Deus and Diamond Gold (both by De Niro) and the Ex Libris son, Exupéry (Bundeschampion 1997; Grand Prix winner on the Austrial National Team), Serano Gold and Sungold. Serano Gold was the 2004 Vice State Champion of three-year old stallions in Rastede and placed in the Final of the Bundeschampionat in the class for three-year old stallions in Warendorf. She also gave birth to Don Dasparo (a full brother of Deus and Diamond Gold), a first class young dressage horse.

The dam's sire, Grundstein II, sired internationally successful horses that reached world class level in dressage as well as show jumping. Two further outstanding performance sires, Futuro and Makuba xx, are also found in the third and fourth generation. The Oldenburg dam line of Edosta (by Fridolin-Godomar-Gernold-General) also produced the closely related licensed stallions, Landjuwel Gold (Bundeschampionat finalist; private stallion Oldenburg) and Patent (alias Petit Prince 2; Olympic Game participant 1988 in Seoul and also successful in international Grand Prix with Ellen Bontje and Sven Rothenberger/NL), Rosengold (private stallion Oldenburg), as well as the international ribbon winning dressage horse, Avignon 31/Thomas Schmitz, all of which are closely related to Sungold.
