Great Schufro

Great Schufro: Oldenburg, 2014 165 cm

Grey Flanell – Don Schufro – Akzent II

By his pedigree, we have every right to expect excellence from this young stallion, Great Schufro! And he does not disappoint with his elegance, delightful expression, and harmonious movements. He shows nice freedom through his shoulder, suppleness through his loins and strong hind leg. He really picks himself up and carries himself in a proud frame. His sire, Gray Flanell, embodies international bloodlines with particularly noble Trakehner blood through Gribaldi, and honest Dutch blood through Clavecimbal and Ferro . Grey Flanell has shown us some excellent and respected offspring in his first foals crops. In many cases, the offspring were to be found at the top prices on auctions and he became the 2014 Ia premium, Champion of the licensing during the Oldenburger stallion days.

The Dam of Great Schufro, elite mare Dina, foaled the licensed stallion Roadrunner by Romanov. She is a daughter of Oldenburg’s top-selling Don Schufro, who has written Danish dressage history with Andreas Helgstrand. In 2004, he was a Danish Reserve Champion and qualified for the Olympic Games in Athens / GRE. He also won several World Cup qualifications. In 2008, there was team-bronze in Beijing. Since 2001, Don Schufro has been leading the FN breeding evaluation over many years. The grandmother St. Pr. St. Ambiente is dam to the Grand Prix horse Donauprinzesin (by Donnerhall). The acclaimed multi-sire Akzent II in the third generation is regarded as one of the most successful breeders of the modern times.
