TAMARINDE
KWPN Ster mare
Jazz – Matador II – Rubinstein – Welt As

Tamarinde followed in the fancy footsteps of our other magnificent Dutch mare, Preference. Tamarinde was also the HIGH SCORE mare of the entire tour of the German Oldenburg Verband in the U.S. this season of 2006. She turned in the awesome score of 8.3 from German judges Katrin Burger and Thomas Rhinow.
She then went on to the Sushine Sport Horse Breed Show where she won all her classes with high scores and qualified for the USDFBC SE Series Championships.

TAMARINDE was Grand Champion of the S E Regional USDF Sporthorse Breed Show
Scoring 8.5 for conformation; 9.0 for walk; 8.5 for trot; and 8.5 for general impression
She is shown here being awarded her cooler by MaSu Hammacher – I am handling.

TAMARINDE loves little people.
Here she is being prepped before her Championship class by Megan Miller!

Megan’s brother, Shane also acted as groom and video person for Tam!
Shane often helps
his Dad, Dr. Corey Miller who is our attending Theriogenologist (reproduction Vet) on the farm.
Megans’ and Shane’s Mom, Chris Miller, is also a huge help and an accomplished event rider
who is breeding warmbloods now too.

Tam also won the Dutch Warmblood High score award with an 85%, and was high score of
both days of the breed show and Championship series.

Then we went on to accomplish the High Score of the Non-Hanoverian mares presented to the American Hanoverian Society at the Florida inspection. Her Total score with them was 7.91.
Tamarinde was bred to the interesting young stallion HOTLINE (Hofrat – DeNiro) owned by Blue Hors, Denmark and Paul Schockemoehle, and produced a spectacular colt. HOT JAZZ is now owned by Pat Parelli.
Before Tam was imported, she competed in the prestigious PAVO CUP in Holland. She placed 7th in the 4 year old finals behind all stallions…. Names like “Sandreo”and “Tuschinski”.
She continued her competition in Wellington through 3rd level, winning numerous classes in top competition. In 2008 she earned not only her “KEUR” status, but also her “SPORTS PREDICATE” with the KWPN in Holland.

She also was the Poster child for the MERIAL Pharmaceutical Company in the “Recombitek” West Nile Virus vaccine. Perhaps you have noticed this gorgeous mare in their ads??

In 2008 she produced, by ET, a breathtaking filly by the venerable sire “FLORESTAN”

In 2009 “TAMARINDE” will once again have an ET foal, this time by QUATERBACK, PLUS she is carrying another “FLORESTAN”. Both have been fetal sexed as colts… we shall see. Both are due early; Feb and March.

FLORESTAN

QUATERBACK

Tamarinde and her colt Floretienne by Florestan

Tamarinde' ET colt by Quaterback
Both colts of Tamarinde were awarded Premium status as well as "Foal of Distinction"

by the German Oldenburg Verband in 2009.
In 2010 she produced another colt by Florestan that captured my attention. He seems to be the perfect blending of modern type, elegance, correctness of conformation, deep, strong pedigree combined with excellent power, suspension and freedom of movement. This colt, FLORANTE, is now at Hilltop Farm being raised as a stallion prospect. He was so designated and premium awarded at his German Oldenburg inspection.
Tamarinde is not in foal for 2011, and we begin early with - hopefully – an ET before we breed her to carry. Who will we use??
