who was by one of the best of the Trakehner breed, MAHON: This stallion was highly regarded in Germany and was used with great success in the Hanoverian breed as well as the Trakehner. He produced 8 approved breeding sons by the time he unfortunately died at the age of only 8 years. MAHON was by the excellent sire MAHAGONI and out of a mare by the Olympic Three Day Event stallion, HABICHT.

		HARPER's dam is the well known Trakehner mare, HELENA E (Elite), who is by the good producer HERBSTSTURM and out of a mare by the most important sire, PREGEL (sire of the famous DONAUWIND).

HARPER, himself, turned in an excellent 100 days stallion performance test, and went on to become a top hunter competitor in the Regulars. The hallmark of HARPER's offspring is their bright, willing attitudes, and athletic capability in a variety of disciplines. Many of his children have indeed excelled in the hunter ring, but many are also dependable eventers and dressage horses. Two full brothers of KIEFER are in the dressage world, another full sister is headed there as well. While KIEFER shows good suspension and forward movement ample for dressage, he LOVES to jump, and shows outstanding scope free schooling over fences. He has great heart, which no doubt comes from the illustrious sire of his dam, KAROLINA. KAROLINA was by the immortal sire, DONAUWIND, who, as many of you know, was the sire of the famous World and Olympic Champion jumper, ABDULLAH.
